Col. Robert Patterson (1753-1827) was one of the founders of Lexington, Ky. He moved to the Dayton area in 1804. A veteran of the Revolutionary War, Col. Patterson continued his military career on the frontier, serving with such legendary figures as George Rogers Clark, Anthony Wayne, and Daniel Boone.
